Music ConstructEd, a division of West Music, is currently seeking article submissions from general music educators who have a desire to share their expertise with other colleagues. We are looking for high-quality lesson ideas, classroom inspirations, or articles about current trends in K-8 music education. Submissions should be practical, timely, and directly relevant to today’s general music teacher. Some topics of Interest to the Music Educator may include, Online Learning – Lifting Music Off the Screen for Children Stuck at Home, Advocacy, Culturally Sensitive Practices, Instructional Strategies & Approaches, Lesson Inspirations, and Technology for the Music Room. See submission guidelines for a complete list of topics!

A photo and biography will accompany each accepted submission acknowledging the author. All accepted submissions will be compensated with a $25 West Music gift card. Lesson Blueprint authors are chosen from the writers’ pool who have submitted articles published in our Lesson Sketches. Our Educational Consultants identify and personally invite authors whose ideas represent the values of Music ConstructED and will translate into a more comprehensive lesson module. Blueprint authors are paid on a royalties structure.
